TEJ20 – Computer Technology introduces students to the exciting world of computing, electronics, and robotics through a balanced blend of hands-on experimentation and foundational theory. This course offers students an in-depth look at how modern technologies are designed, programmed, and applied in real-world scenarios, making it an ideal entry point for those interested in computer engineering, information technology, or digital innovation.
Students gain practical experience working with hardware components, operating systems, and networking concepts, while also learning how to write programs using Java. Through explorations in binary logic, Boolean expressions, and control structures, students develop essential coding skills and computational thinking.
In the robotics and electronics modules, students build and test circuits, explore breadboard designs, and learn how to integrate software with hardware to control robotic systems. These hands-on projects enhance their problem-solving abilities and spark creativity through design and innovation.
Beyond technical proficiency, TEJ20 fosters awareness of technology’s broader impact. Students examine ethical and legal considerations, ergonomic practices, and environmental sustainability within the tech industry. They also explore the wide range of careers available in computing and engineering, gaining a clearer understanding of their own interests and potential pathways.
By the end of the course, students are equipped with the digital fluency, technical knowledge, and forward-thinking mindset needed to pursue further studies or careers in a rapidly evolving technological world.
